Life of a CPASC Counselor
As a counselor at Central PA Summer Camp, your job is to create a fun, safe, and welcoming environment for all of our campers. Sometimes this looks like organizing games and monitoring campers, other times its helping with tasks around the facility. No day is the same!
We have three different counselor positions, each increasing in superiority: CITs, junior counselors, and senior counselors. CITs are our counselors in training, junior counselors are former CITs that have completed our training program, and senior counselors are our high school seniors, college students, and education professionals who are familiar with CPASC as well as having additional certifications such as CPR and first aid training or an educational degree.
At this time, we are not looking for any new counselors, but feel free to provide us your information and we can reach out if a position becomes available!
CIT Program
Counselor in Training or CIT Program provides former campers who have outgrown the camp with the opportunity to take steps towards becoming a junior counselor! The CIT program is offered to former campers age 13 or 14 that we feel are a good fit to be a future counselor for CPASC.
CITs will work shifts alongside junior and senior counselors helping with tasks, learning how to monitor activities, and gaining experience to become a junior counselor. Best of all, CITs still get to take part in all of the fun camp activities!!
