Frequently Asked
Questions
1
How do I register?
You can register by clicking here! It will take you directly to our registration page.
2
What is your staff to kids ratio?
We like to stick to a 10:1 ratio and typically overstaff to ensure the best possible experience for both kids and staff.
3
Do you have clearances for your staff?
Yes. All staff members are required to complete a PA Child Abuse clearance and criminal background check.
4
What security measures do you have in place?
During camp hours, only the front door is unlocked. All other doors to the building will be locked. The front door is closely monitored by a staff member during all hours of camp. If someone were to come in that is not part of camp, they will be escorted to the office, and then escorted back out of the building following the conclusion of their visit.
5
When is payment due?
Payment should be received by the Monday of the week your kid will attend camp.
6
What time does camp open?
Camp opens at 7:30am every day. However, if you need to drop your kid off earlier than that, please give us at least 24 hours notice so accommodations can be made.
7
Do we need to arrive right at 7:30?
No. You can arrive at whatever time works best for you!
8
Do I have to pay for the whole week even though we are only attending a few days?
Nope! Our camp is designed to be a pay as you go; you'll only have to pay for the days you attend. That being said, we do prefer to receive a schedule of the days your child plans to attend so we can get an idea of the staff and supplies needed each day.
9
Do I need to provide snacks/lunch for my child?
You absolutely can, but it is not necessary. Lunch is sold everyday for $4, and snack will be handed out in the late afternoon at no extra cost. Snacks can also be purchased at the vending machines throughout the day. That being said, if you decide not to send your kiddo with a lunch, please make sure to bring lunch (or snack) money for them. This money can be given to a staff member upon check-in to ensure your child does not lose it.
10
Can my child bring their phone, tablet, and/or gaming device?
We ask that the technology stays at home. We understand that sometimes this is not possible, as it is needed for communication. In which case, your kid will be asked to leave the technology in their bag, unless otherwise instructed with permission from a counselor.
11
How did my child get so dirty?
We wish we knew! The dust from the turf beads easily mixes with sweat to create the grey/black film you might be familiar with seeing on your child after a day at camp! Fortunately, it washes off easily and it is not harmful. Because of this, we do ask that you not send your child in new or expensive shoes and clothing.
12
Can we bring our own sports equipment and/or toys for our child?
You absolutely can. Although we have plenty of activities and toys, we understand that sometimes it's fun to bring toys and equipment from home. However, every item is brought at your own risk; we are not liable for lost, stolen, or broken items. Additionally, we ask that dangerous equipment and toys (metal bats, hard balls, toy swords or other weapons, etc.) stay at home.
